My Christmas wishlist

Hi Girls!  How is everyone?  I know I have been MIA and have not been posting.  I really need to devote more time to my blog and that is something I am going to work on next year!

I hope you all are enjoying the holidays and have been having fun shopping and spending time with family and friends!

I thought I would make a "Christmas Wish list"of things I am wishing for this year!  Maybe it'll help give you some ideas if you still need to find a gift for someone on your gift list!

Here it goes!

ipod Shuffle
The Pink one of course!!!

DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom-such a classic scent

Shu Uemura eyelash curler (cause I would never spend the money to buy myself one!!!)

Clarisonic Mia-Is it really worth all the hype?

Totally random but I am obsessed with this CD and I literally wore mine out!
Anyone a fan of the show when it was on???

Black velvet slimline hangers.
I want to completely redo my closet next year!

Chloe Perfume-what a lux smell.
I feel like a million bucks when I have this on!!

And of course I would love gift certificates for MAC, Ulta, Sephora, Target, Walgreens, Express, Victoria's Secret and my favorite nail salon!
Hope my hubby is reading this!!! :)

I want to say thank you to all of you out there that read my blog posts even though they aren't very frequent I hope you enjoy them and get something out of them!

Have a wonderful Holiday season and I hope you get all that you are wishing for.

First FOTD "Love at first swipe" 11.09.10

Hi girls!!!  Never have I been so excited to blog about a product!
I very quickly snapped some pics of my face before I left for work this morning!
So sorry about the weird shots, it was my first attempt at a FOTD!

Mr. LabelSnob took me to my local MAC counter this weekend and said to pick out some things and he would buy!  YAY!  So I picked up some of the things I have had on my wishlist.

I purchased the new Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Til Tomorrow and it is really a great product.  I hope MAC expands the color selection of the Pro Longwear lip products.  It really did last a long time and was not drying at all!

Then I got Margin blush which is beautiful.  Great color and I am so glad I picked it up to add to my collection.

But the product that caused my excitement?  The reason I drug out my camera this morning (even though I was already late for work)...the product that was "love at first swipe?"
It was MAC's Blushcreme in Brit Wit.  Girls- this color is amazing.  I have never put on a product and said "wow" but I did with this blush!  I highly recommend you buy this!  And if you do let me know how you like it!
XOXO

MAC Style Session 10.16.10

Hi Girls!  Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.  I am so excited to tell you about my day!
Today my local MAC counter held a Style Session.  I had never been to one of these events before and it was a lot of fun!  The only "bad" part was it was over crowded and held in a very small area so everyone was packed in like a can of sardines!

There were 3 stations set up and you were at each for 20 minutes.  The first one was techniques for creating a natural wear anywhere eye look.  The MUA used Painterly Paintpot, Woodwinked eyeshadow on the lid, Handwritten in the crease, Typographic in the outer V and Phoolf! to highlight.  She lined the model's (volunteer from the group) eyes with Eye Kohl in Teddy and used the new Haute and Naughty mascara.  It was a great easy daytime look that anyone could wear and easily darken for an evening out.  Sadly the MUA moved too slowly and only got one eye done before the girl had to move on to the next session!  The MUA told her to come back when the session was over and she'd do her other eye!

The next station was all about prepping the skin.  She hydrated the model's skin with Fix+, then applied some Prep and Prime and then some Studio Moisture Fix.  Then she lightly applied some MSF Natural (did you know you can use that wet?).  Then she topped off the cheeks with Mineralize Blush in Gentle.  It looked very fresh and dewy.

The last station was creating a smokey eye.  The MUA used a combination I wouldn't have thought of to use.
She used Knight Divine, Star's and Rockets and Shroom.  It was not something I would wear but it looked
okay on the model.  This was the least exciting of the event.
My bestie Stacey and I left mid way through the last session as we had to leave but wanted to be able to make our purchases ahead of the other 50 or so girls there!  And we got rung up just in time!  As soon as we were done paying the huge crowd flooded the counters!

Here's some pictures of me at the event and what I bought!!!

Me at the event

The Style Session notebook we all got!

My goodies!  I got Paint Pot in Constructivist, Eye Kohl in Teddy, Blushcream in LadyBlush and Fix+

The perfect weekend...09.25.10

Hi girls!  Hope everyone is good and having a wonderful weekend!

Last night my BFF and I had our usual joint hair appointments enjoying a bottle of wine and just hanging out having a great time while getting pampered.

Then we headed over to my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner.  We ordered and shared the chicken fajitas and quesadillas and it was all so good!

Next, it was on to the mall, so she could purchase her first ever MAC makeup!!  She has a big work event coming up and was looking for a smokey eye look with some gold.  The MUA used Indianwood paintpot, Woodwinked all over the lid, Twinks in the crease and Down Brown in the outer V.  It was beautiful!  She lined her eyes and used the new (and AMAZING) Studio Fix Lash mascara.  If you haven't tried this mascara, GO BUY IT!!! I love it!  First time buying a MAC mascara.  I have had Plush Lash on my wish list forever because it's a favorite of TiffanyD (http://makeupbytiffanyd.blogspot.com/) and her lashes always look amazing.  But when I saw what that mascara did for my friends lashes I had to get it!  We also signed up for some Style Session so I will let you all know how that goes!  It's next month.

Today I went to see Eat, Pray, Love with my mama.  I had not read the book and had only seen the previews for the movie and thought...YAWN.
But my mama really wanted to go so we did and it was... okay.
Wasn't great, wasn't horrible.  A little "deep" for a Saturday afternoon but whatever!  The scenes in the movie were beautiful and I was very intrigued of the idea of leaving your life behind for a year to travel but seems a little unrealistic for most folks.  Or maybe it's just me.  Maybe I am not adventurous enough to ever do something like that.  I worry too much.

Anyways, after the movie we went to Starbucks for Lattes and while waiting in the ever long line to order I was eyeing the Reduced Fat Cinnamon Cake.  I think I may have been drooling.  Have you had it?  It was heaven.  I originally bought one piece so we could be "good" and share it so not to consume too many calories but one bite and I went and got my mom her own!! I was NOT sharing that cake.

Hubby is glued to the TV tonight watching college football and I made some burgers ( 1 pound lean beef, 1 cup shredded cheese, 1 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch packet-makes the most delicious burgers) and had some good ole' chips and dip!  So bad for you but so good.

Tomorrow Mr. Labelsnob and I will head to a mall out of town where F21 is so I can make a return and I'm sure do some shopping!  I will be posting some recent purchases (from prior shopping trips) on my next post!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Eat, Pray, Love :)

09.11.10 Blazer Crazy!!!

Hello Girls!  Hope everyone is having a great weekend.  Not much going on with me today but tomorrow I have a shopping trip planned with a friend and I can't wait!

I thought I would show you some recent purchases I have made.  I'm not sure why but I have been going crazy over blazers lately (hence the title of this post!).  Originally I was on the hunt for a black boyfriend blazer that had bunching at the sleeves.  I saw one last year that I loved but didn't purchase and immediately regretted.  Of course when I went back to get it it was gone.  :(

So ever since I've been on the hunt for one like it!  But in the mean time I found several others that I really liked as well (of course)!

BCX (purchased at ROSS) $10.99

Baccini (purchased at ROSS) $16.99

Boyfriend Blazer with shoulder pads from Forever 21 on sale for $18

Ann Taylor LOFT on sale for $29.99 (FRONT)
(BACK)

Charlotte Russe $25

And last but not least!!!! Boyfriend Blazer with bunching at the sleeves!!!!
It was EXACTLY what I wanted.  I know these pictures don't do these blazers justice.  Maybe I will try to do some OOTD's with them when it cools down and I can actually wear them!

Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend and if I get any good stuff on my shopping trip tomorrow I will post!

XOXO

9.6.10 Look what I found!!

Hi girls!  Hope everyone is having a FABulous Labor Day!
Luckily I had the day off and went shopping!! I really only needed to do some exchanging at H&M but of course I couldn't go there and leave right away!
I walked around a bit at H&M, American Eagle and Express.  I'll do a post of those purchases later!

After leaving the mall, I went to Ulta where I was in search of the infamous Urban Decay Naked Palette which of course they didn't have but the girl at the counter told me she saw three at the local Sephora.
I say local but it's actually over a half hour away from where I was and I was already 40 minutes from home.  All of a sudden, I was determined to get the Naked Palette today.
So I drove on over and there they were!!!

I couldn't believe it.  Now I was not rushing out to get this palette although neutrals are all I wear.  I had heard originally that this was not going to be limited edition and then I heard they were.
I went to my local Ulta last week and was told it was limited edition and Ulta was out and not getting any more.  Period.  I almost cried!

But today was my lucky day and I now have it in my hands.  There is no sense in telling you how wonderful it is as there's been a million and one posts already about it!
I was just so happy to get mine I just had to blog about it!  Honestly I can't remember the last time I was so excited about a makeup purchase.

How about you?  What is the most recent makeup purchase you made that you were soooo excited about?  Tell me about it!

Hauling!!! 07.17.10

Hi girls!!! Just thought I'd share some recent purchases with you! This is a collective haul purchased within the last few weeks.
I am quite a bargain shopper and LOVE getting great deals...Who doesn't right??!! I recently went to Express and went straight to the back to the clearance section. I only had so much money to shop with so I needed bargains! I got this great cropped jacket that was love at first sight! It was the only one and fit perfectly! Notice the details on the shoulders! L.O.V.E.!!!

I also picked up this basic white tee. It is big on me but that's okay! I like the baggy look sometimes! I picked this basic tee up because I loved the shoulder detail and the pocket!

Then I picked up this black top also from Express. I have to disclose that my friend Tricia owns this top and when she wore it I fell in love so I copied her (sorry!) and when I found it buried in the clearance section, I couldn't resist!!! Sorry, Tricia you had to pay full price! Don't you hate that??

On another shopping adventure I headed to Marshalls. I am usually not very successful at finding things there. But this time, I was able to find a couple things!

I got this great summer dress. I love the color, so pretty!

And I also picked up this cardigan...

And lastly I thought I'd show you some shoes I recently picked up! While shopping at Target for my BFF's 8 year old daughter's birthday I somehow ended up in the shoe department. I don't know how that happened but Target has tons of their shoes on clearance right now! And guess what I found???

The infamous Cynthia Vincent shoes in my size for $7.58!!! I couldn't believe it! They are super cute!

Then at DSW I had 2 $10 off coupons and was able to pick these BEAUTIFUL Carlos Santana shoes up for a mere $29.99!

Well that's it! Hope you all enjoyed! Bye for now!!!

OOTD post (my first!!) 07.17.10

Hello Girls!! Hope you're all having a fab weekend.
The hubby had a Saturday off and joined me and my folks on our normal Saturday outing! We went to a hole in the wall diner for breakfast where you get 3 eggs, grits or potatoes and toast for $1.99! Can't beat that!
Then we went to a great farmer's market for some browsing. I didn't get any fruit or veggies (bad girl) but I treated my mama to a handmade necklace that is gorgeous!! I will have to try to get a picture of it to show you!
Anyhoo, here's my first outfit of the day post. Not used to shooting these, so bear with me!!

TOP: Random white tee picked up at Belk dept store
SHORTS: Banana Republic
SHOES: Banana Republic
NECKLACE: Forever 21

Hope you all have a great weekend! See ya soon!

First NOTD post 07.04.10

Don't panic...I know this is my 2nd post in one day...what can I say? I'm on a roll! This is going to be my first NOTD post! I cannot believe I am even doing one of these as I do not even paint my nails often. Not because I don't like them painted but I am horrible at painting them! They usually end up looking like a 5 year old painted them! Anyhoo, I had been on the hunt for a beautiful summer pink polish. Not neon pink, not baby pink. Just a gorgeous almost raspberry pink. I found it at Ulta. It is China Glaze's "Make An Entrance" and I LOVE it! So pretty. I also purchased the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat for the first time and it is love. I am very impatient about letting my nails dry and this is amazing!

What nail colors are you loving this summer?

Some new purchases 07.04.10

Hi girls!! Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend. If you live in the states, you're probably celebrating Fourth of July, so happy 4th!! What do you have planned for the holiday? Mr. Label Snob and I are going to my BFF's for a cookout, so I'm looking forward to that.

Okay, now let's get down to business! My new purchases!!! I was hoping to make a drive to my closest CCO this weekend but doesn't look like I'm going to make it there. My closest CCO is over a hour away :( So I went to my local Ulta instead! Here's what I picked up!

So sorry for the blurry picture. The camera just would not cooperate!
So I picked up L'Oreal carbon black Lineur Intense felt tip liquid liner. I have been wanting to purchase this for a while. I have been trying to get better at applying liquid liner and figured a "felt tip pen" style was probably going to be my best bet. I have tried applying liquid liner with a brush and what a nightmare! I have very shaky hands so let me tell you, it was not pretty!!! Have you tried this? Let me know if you like it!

I also picked up an eyelash curler from NYC. I recently purchased a Revlon one as I had a $1.00 off coupon but it was horrible! It didn't curl my lashes at all! The one I had before the Revlon was this NYC one. It is so inexpensive at $1.49 but I tell ya it curls my lashes great! I have been wanting to purchase the famous shu uemura one but $19 for an eyelash curler?? Yikes! I guess I'm too cheap!
I also picked up the YouTube infamous NYC blushable creme stick in Plaza Pink. My Ulta has been out of this for weeks! I finally was able to get my hands on it and can't wait to try it. I'll let you know what I think of it after I have tested it out!

Then I picked up my first ever China Glaze nail polishes. I am such a OPI snob that I never would even look at other brands. But I'm really glad I picked these up. I got "Make An Entrance" and "Love Letters". They are both beautiful colors and I have my first NOTD post coming with the "Make An Entrance"!

I also purchased Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat for the first time. Honestly I am HORRIBLE at painting my nails! Mainly my problem is I am so impatient and don't allow my nails the time they need to dry! Of course every girl on the planet knows about this Seche Vite stuff but I just was not convinced it was going to solve my drying problem! But WOW! Okay I confess this stuff IS amazing. The brush is really weird though. It's really stiff and doesn't "fan" out when I apply it. Is that normal?

Well I hope you have a great weekend. Did you pick up any new purchases this weekend? Tell me what you got!
