First FOTD "Love at first swipe" 11.09.10

Hi girls!!!  Never have I been so excited to blog about a product!
I very quickly snapped some pics of my face before I left for work this morning!
So sorry about the weird shots, it was my first attempt at a FOTD!

Mr. LabelSnob took me to my local MAC counter this weekend and said to pick out some things and he would buy!  YAY!  So I picked up some of the things I have had on my wishlist.

I purchased the new Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Til Tomorrow and it is really a great product.  I hope MAC expands the color selection of the Pro Longwear lip products.  It really did last a long time and was not drying at all!

Then I got Margin blush which is beautiful.  Great color and I am so glad I picked it up to add to my collection.

But the product that caused my excitement?  The reason I drug out my camera this morning (even though I was already late for work)...the product that was "love at first swipe?"
It was MAC's Blushcreme in Brit Wit.  Girls- this color is amazing.  I have never put on a product and said "wow" but I did with this blush!  I highly recommend you buy this!  And if you do let me know how you like it!
XOXO

MAC Style Session 10.16.10

Hi Girls!  Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.  I am so excited to tell you about my day!
Today my local MAC counter held a Style Session.  I had never been to one of these events before and it was a lot of fun!  The only "bad" part was it was over crowded and held in a very small area so everyone was packed in like a can of sardines!

There were 3 stations set up and you were at each for 20 minutes.  The first one was techniques for creating a natural wear anywhere eye look.  The MUA used Painterly Paintpot, Woodwinked eyeshadow on the lid, Handwritten in the crease, Typographic in the outer V and Phoolf! to highlight.  She lined the model's (volunteer from the group) eyes with Eye Kohl in Teddy and used the new Haute and Naughty mascara.  It was a great easy daytime look that anyone could wear and easily darken for an evening out.  Sadly the MUA moved too slowly and only got one eye done before the girl had to move on to the next session!  The MUA told her to come back when the session was over and she'd do her other eye!

The next station was all about prepping the skin.  She hydrated the model's skin with Fix+, then applied some Prep and Prime and then some Studio Moisture Fix.  Then she lightly applied some MSF Natural (did you know you can use that wet?).  Then she topped off the cheeks with Mineralize Blush in Gentle.  It looked very fresh and dewy.

The last station was creating a smokey eye.  The MUA used a combination I wouldn't have thought of to use.
She used Knight Divine, Star's and Rockets and Shroom.  It was not something I would wear but it looked
okay on the model.  This was the least exciting of the event.
My bestie Stacey and I left mid way through the last session as we had to leave but wanted to be able to make our purchases ahead of the other 50 or so girls there!  And we got rung up just in time!  As soon as we were done paying the huge crowd flooded the counters!

Here's some pictures of me at the event and what I bought!!!
