Hi girls!! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mr. LabelSnob and I just returned from Key West, FL. and we had a fabulous time! It was so beautiful there and we were able to get some chill time in! When we arrived, I couldn't believe how HOT it was. I don't live far from the Keys but it just seemed so much hotter there! I quickly grabbed a drink and we started strolling down Duval Street where most of the main shops and bars are.

We quickly noticed that just about everyone there is extremely laid back! There's live music in all the bars and you can stroll down the street drink in hand! A lot of people were buzzing around on scooters or bikes which we considered renting one ourselves but never had the time. It looked like so much fun though! We hit Mallory Square for the "famous Sunset Celebration" that happens every night. The large square located on the water is full of street performers, artists, musicians and vendors entertaining and selling their trinkets as the sun starts to set everyone celebrates and claps and it's really quite an ordeal! I was glad we took part in it as it was a very memorable experience.

The next day we played tourist and went on one of those silly Old Town Trolley tours around the town. We actually had a great time and learned a lot about the history of the Keys. We did some shopping (Mr. LabelSnob bought me an amazing bag from Coach-thanks lovey!) and we ate lunch at Hard Rock Cafe (the nachos were so YUM) and back to the hotel for a nap!!!
That night we headed back to Duval Street to see the sunset at the roof top of the Crowne Plaza Hotel. It wasn't as crazy as Malloy Square. It was actually very quaint and romantic. There was a band and the lead singer was singing "At Last" as the sun set and it was just beautiful. As you can see from the below picture even Mr. LabelSnob was impressed!
To end the night we headed back to the street to have some dinner and bar hop (which is what most people seem to come to Key West for). We had such an amazing time people watching, strolling along the street, browsing in shops and hitting a couple bars. We even went to a "must go" place called Garden of Eden which is a rooftop bar where clothing is optional. NO I did NOT take any part of my clothing off (nor did my hubby) but there were a couple people there completely naked!! I have never been to a place like that. It's funny, there really isn't anything sexual about it. It's really just about freedom and being comfortable in your own skin. I really admired the ones that were about to bare all and didn't care who looked! Still we were a little uncomfortable! We had a couple drinks, danced a little and called it a night!
All in all we had a great trip and will go back for sure! Have you gone on any holidays this summer? Or do you have any planned? Tell me about them!
